Movie Information:
Lily, the young lady of the upper-class Nanatsumori family, and Takuto, the footman who has served the Nanatsumori family since childhood. Lily and Takuto, who have known each other since childhood, harbor deep feelings for one another, but due to their difference in social standing, they’ve kept those feelings hidden in their hearts. One day, Atsushi, the eldest son of the Nanatsumori family, receives a draft notice. His father, Tokuji—who is also an officer—doesn’t want to send his eldest son into a losing battle, so he devises a plan. He decides to welcome Takuto into the Nanatsumori family as Lily’s husband, and send him off to war as the second son. Feeling indebted to the Nanatsumori family and knowing he could never return, Takuto accepts the arrangement. “I’ll let you two spend just one day together as husband and wife.” Given only a single day to be together, the two devote themselves entirely to each other until the time comes to part.
