Movie Information:
Reiko, a teacher, has been stuck in a long-term rut with her husband, and her sense of self as a woman is fading. There is no conversation at home, and every time he turns his back on her in the bedroom, she feels like an inorganic creature existing solely for the role of “wife.” Amidst this, Reiko’s student, Nitta, one of Reiko’s students, rapidly improves his grades and begins to place his trust in her more than anyone else. Nitta responds honestly to Reiko’s words, looks at her directly, and smiles happily at even the slightest encouragement.
