Ayumi Mizusaki, a schoolgirl with an IQ of 300, is a beautiful girl with a reserved personality but a stronger sense of justice than most. One day, Ayumi saves a person being attacked by the monster Zardon, but loses her own life in the process. However, she is resurrected by Poseidon, the god of the sea, who grants her the power to transform into a warrior of justice, and she takes on the role of the beautiful warrior Sailor Sharon to fight against evil. Though initially bewildered, Sailor Sharon resolves to walk the path of a warrior to protect the people.
