Movie Information:
“Oshima,” who ends up staying with her son and his wife in Tokyo . However, “Sumire,” the wife of his son “Tetsugaku,” was cold and always had a sour expression, so Oshima had always found her difficult to deal with. One day, “Tetsugaku” got injured and had to be hospitalized. During their awkward time living alone together, Oshima, out of a mischievous impulse, told Sumire a joke that wasn’t really funny: “My son died in the hospital…” Suddenly, “Sumire”—who was usually expressionless—let out a look of utter shock, her eyes nearly popping out of her head.
