Former senior investigator Aoi Yamazaki was demoted after conducting a series of solo investigations driven by personal grief following the loss of a colleague—who was also her lover—during a mission. The assignment given to her was to infiltrate the “Potential Development Seminar.” There has been a recent spate of groping incidents, and the perpetrators are all said to be participants in that seminar.
