Konoe, who lived with her daughter and son-in-law, was doing her best to ensure the two of them could live together harmoniously. However, she was heartbroken that her daughter’s attitude toward her son-in-law was growing harsher by the day. Today, too, just because her son-in-law gave a small compliment on Konoe’s home-cooked meal, her daughter became sulky, and an awkward atmosphere settled in.
