Yumi was feeling suffocated by her husband’s controlling behavior… She had been married to him for 26 years. Blessed with two children, both of whom had already left home, the couple had been living a reasonably happy life together. However, over the past few years, her husband—who had been under a lot of stress from competing for a promotion at work—had gradually become more controlling toward Yumi. Because of this, Yumi was forced to quit her job and became a full-time housewife.
