Movie Information:
A young couple transferred from the city to a mountain village. Koichi, the husband, was part of the Regional Revitalization Corps, and Aoha, the wife, was an elementary school teacher; they were supposed to work together with the villagers to build a life in the countryside. However, in a village with no young women, Aoha was subjected to strange stares as an “outsider.” Even when she sought help after being persistently harassed by the village chief’s son, the villagers all say in unison, “You must preserve the village’s bloodline.” Eventually, the couple is confined to the school by the entire village.
