The Kuramoto family is a three-generation household consisting of Eri, her son and his wife, and her grandson, Kamiji. Since her son and his wife are both working and very busy, Kamiji was raised by his grandmother, Eri, from a young age. One day, the family decided to go on a hot spring trip to celebrate Eri’s 60th birthday. However, during the journey, things took a turn for the worse with the son and his wife—who were, as usual, swamped with work—so Eri and her grandson ended up heading to the inn just the two of them.
